Adding an Event

  1. Go to milligan.edu/calendar and click the green “Post Your Event” button or click here.
  2. Fill in your event’s details. Be sure to select a time zone and to fill out contact information, if available.calendar-instructions-2
  3. Make sure to select the proper categories and to “tag” the event.calendar-instructions-3
  4. When you are happy with your event’s details, click the blue “Publish Now” button.calendar-instructions-4

Adding Images

  1. On the event editing screen, click the “Add Media” button.calendar-instructions-5
  2. You can either select a pre-existing image from the library or you can upload a new image.calendar-instructions-6
  3. Select the image you want, fill in the details, and click the blue “Insert into post” button.calendar-instructions-7

Adding Documents

  1. On the event editing screen, click the “Add Media” button.calendar-instructions-5
  2. You can either select a pre-existing document from the library or upload a new document.calendar-instructions-6
  3. Select the document you want, fill in the details, and then copy the URL by highlighting it and pressing CTRL+C or by any of your other favorite methods of copying text. Then, click the X in the top right corner to close the Insert Media screen.calendar-instructions-8
  4. In your description, type your link text. This is the text users will click on to open your document. It could be as simple as “Download a brochure!” or “Click here to open the registration form.”
  5. Highlight your link text and click the “Insert/edit link” button in the toolbar.calendar-instructions-9
  6. Paste the URL of the document into the URL field (CTRL+V or your favorite method), and click the blue “Add Link” button.calendar-instructions-10
  7. That’s it! You’re done!
