You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown features the antics of all your favorite characters— Linus, Schroeder, Lucy, Sally, and of course the lovable kid Charlie Brown and his dog Snoopy. This show also features some of Broadway’s most memorable songs, including “The Kite,” “The Baseball Game,” “Suppertime,” and “Happiness.”

Tickets will be available online at milligan.tix.com beginning September 21 as well as at the door starting 90 minutes before performance times. Patrons are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance to avoid sell outs. All seats will be reserved and are $10.

A Musical Celebration of Animated Film

A Musical Celebration of Animated Film

The Milligan Music Department will present a short, family-friendly concert that showcases the wonderful music of animated film. The performance will feature iconic songs such as “Into the Unknown” from Frozen II, “Touch the Sky” from Brave, “Somewhere Out There” from An American Tail, “How Far I’ll Go” from Moana, and “When You Believe” from The Prince of Egypt. Music selections from other great animated film scores will include The Little Mermaid, Coco, Ratatouille, Trolls, and Madagascar. These animated soundtracks and many more will be performed by Milligan’s Concert Choir, Women’s Chorale, Heritage, Guitar Ensemble, and Orchestra.

The Milligan Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Kellie Brown, will take you on a musical journey through the excitingly diverse string repertoire. The energetic and driving rhythms of Bela Bartok, one of the 20th century’s most important composers, will thrill you through his Rumanian Folk Dances and Allegro Barbaro. The evening will also include featured guest artists from the Academy of Strings as they celebrate their school’s 30th anniversary. These violin students of Timothy and Kimberly Barrett will join the Milligan Orchestra in performing iconic works for strings by Bach and Vivaldi plus some foot-stomping bluegrass tunes.
