Accelerated graduate options to save time and money

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (February 7, 2018)—Milligan College students now can save time and money when completing both an undergraduate and graduate degree at Milligan. The college announced several Accelerated Bachelors/Master’s (ABM) plans for the MBA, Master of Education, M.A. in Humanities and Master of Divinity.

In the accelerated plans, undergraduate students take graduate coursework in their senior year in order to complete the graduate program in less time–typically in only one additional year after finishing their bachelor’s degree or a total of five years. Undergraduate students in Bible and ministry can complete both a bachelor’s degree from Milligan and a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from Emmanuel Christian Seminary at Milligan in just six years.

“We are always encouraging our students to pursue graduate education,” said Dr. Lee Harrison, vice president for marketing and enrollment management. “Our accelerated plans make these degrees even more accessible, giving our students a faster career start and making them more competitive for the job market.”

For example, graduates completing the Master of Education (M.Ed.) accelerated program will start higher on the salary ladder with one year of teaching experience and a master’s degree, which makes them more competitive for job openings in most markets.

The college also announced early acceptance programs (EAP) in the M.S. in Counseling, M.S. in Information Systems, and the M.S. in Occupational Therapy. Students pursuing the EAP can apply early to a Milligan graduate program, secure their spot in the upcoming class, and lock-in the tuition rate for that year.
