Dr. Jeffrey Giesey, PE, joins the Milligan faculty from his role as associate dean at the Russ College of Engineering and Technology at Ohio University. After receiving a bachelor’s and master’s in electrical engineering from Michigan State University, Giesey earned a doctorate in bioengineering from the University of Michigan. In addition to an extensive background in electrical engineering and bioengineering, he has received numerous awards and prestigious grants, including a Fulbright Fellowship in 2001. In 2012, he assumed the role of associate dean at Russ College. Under his leadership, the program’s undergraduate enrollment increased by 28 percent and saw significant increases in multicultural and female student enrollment. Giesey will teach electrical engineering at Milligan starting in fall 2017.
