Anthony holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of Memphis and a master of fine arts degree from East Tennessee State University. Prior to joining Milligan’s faculty, Anthony served as adjunct professor in the department of art and design at East Tennessee State University. Her work has appeared inside and on the cover of Now & Then, Southern Exposure and the Photo Review. The Tennessee Baptist Convention featured her photography on its Golden State Mission Offering poster in 1991 and again in 1993. She has won numerous awards in juried shows and is a member of Who’s Who of American Women (1989-90), Who’s Who Among American Teachers (2003-04), Phi Kappa Phi and the Society of Photographic Education. She has been featured in group and solo exhibitions in over 20 states and was a featured artist at the Tennessee Art Commission Gallery in the summer/fall of 2003. In 2010, Anthony was a part of Reunion, an invitational exhibit of 100 art alumni to celebrate the 100th anniversary of ETSU.  She joined the Appalachian Photography Project in 2009 and participated in their inaugural exhibition at the Carroll Reece Museum in 2010.

Some of her current projects include Women of a Certain Age and Students at Milligan College. Recently, she was a part of the Journey of Women exhibition in Jonesborough, Tennessee. Several of Anthony’s students have placed in regional and national photography competitions, such as Photographer’s Forum Annual College Competition.
