Milligan alumna returns to campus to speak about her ministry

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (Sept. 23, 2010) — Allie Marmion, a Milligan College alumna who has worked with missionaries throughout the world, will speak at Milligan on Tuesday, Sept. 28, at 11 a.m. in Seeger Memorial Chapel. She will also speak at 7 p.m. in Milligan’s McMahan Student Center. Both events are free and open to the public.

Marmion is director of development for Kontaktmission USA, an organization that plants churches in Europe and has more than 200 missionaries in 28 countries. She has led more than 20 mission trips in the last 15 years.

Marmion uses uplifting stories, word pictures, biblical illustrations and touches of humor to bring a fresh perspective to today’s important topics. She will share some of the messages from her book titled “In Pursuit of God” at the 11 a.m. convocation service. The book examines the spiritual disciplines of prayer, fasting and Bible verse memorization.

At 7 p.m., she will speak about balancing work and family, sharing real-life stories and practical tools from her own experience as a speaker, wife and homeschool mother.
