Loveday joins enrollment team at Milligan

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (July 12, 2007) — Jan Loveday has joined Milligan College’s enrollment management team as a graduate admissions specialist, announced Lee Fierbaugh, vice president for marketing and enrollment. In her role, she will assist with recruiting and marketing for the college’s master of education program.

Loveday brings to the position a wealth of knowledge in the education field. Previously, she served as assistant director for adult and extended programs at the University of the Cumberlands in Kentucky, where she also worked with the Public Information Office. Prior to Cumberlands, she worked with Carson-Newman College (Tenn.) in their News and Publications Office. Additionally, she has taught at both the college and elementary school levels and was recognized as Teacher of the Year at the community business college where she taught while working as a freelance graphic design artist.

Loveday holds a bachelor of fine arts degree in communication design from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a master of arts in teaching from Carson-Newman College, where she received the Lucille R. Anderson scholarship for commitment to Christian education. She has completed additional graduate studies in fine arts.

A native of Knoxville, Tenn., and avid outdoor enthusiast, Loveday is excited to return to East Tennessee and to work with the college’s education program.

“I’m thrilled to return home to East Tennessee and am especially glad to be at Milligan,” said Loveday. “Milligan’s mission and ministry is a perfect fit for my own experience and commitment to Christian education. In this capacity, I facilitate the process for individuals who touch the lives of many and shape the future of our society through teaching. It’s very rewarding.”

Loveday succeeds Carrie Davidson, who plans to pursue a master’s degree in speech therapy this fall.
