MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (April 23, 2018)—No instruments allowed for a fun-filled choral concert at Milligan College called the “Buffalo A Cappella Bash” on Saturday, April 28, at 7:30 p.m. in the college’s McGlothlin-Street Theatre located in the Gregory Center. The event is free and open to the public.

The concert will feature Milligan’s choral ensembles: Heritage and Women’s Chorale, directed by Dr. Noah DeLong, associate professor of music, as well as Heard Mentality, directed by Rachel Helton, music instructor.

“We have a wide variety of genres—contemporary pop, musical theatre, country, barbershop and sacred—all sung a capella,” said DeLong. “Our a cappella concerts are always crowd-pleasing, and this concert will be no exception.”

Featured songs include Dolly Parton’s “My Mountains, My Home,” arranged by senior music education major Maverick Summie; “Seasons of Love,” from the musical “Rent”; the classic hit “Africa,” by Toto; and “Maria,” from the musical “West Side Story.”
