Milligan senior show ‘reclaims’ the past

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (March 23, 2017)—Milligan College senior Katelyn Johnson, from Louisville, Kentucky, will present her photography exhibit “Reclaimed” from March 26-31 in the Milligan Art Gallery, located in Derthick Hall. The opening reception is Sunday, March 26, from 2 to 4 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

“My goal with this series of photographs was to make something new out of subjects that are abandoned or withered away,” said Johnson, whose show presents film photographs, both in color and black and white.

“I wanted to reclaim them as something beautiful,” she said.

This exhibit is part of Milligan’s semester-long series of senior art shows. Senior Sarah Knapton will present “Soli Deo Gloria,” a fine arts, photography and graphic design exhibit from April 2-8.
