Wholehearted 5K on April 1 at Milligan

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (March 21, 2017)— A group of Milligan College students will host the second annual Wholehearted 5K fun run on Saturday, April 1, to raise money for the Wholehearted Orphanage in Haiti.

The race starts at 10:30 a.m. on Milligan’s campus at the Village residential halls, located at the end of Frank Oaks Drive. Online registration before the race is $10 at www.milligan.edu/wholehearted5k. Registration the day of the race is $15. Register by March 24 to receive a t-shirt.

All proceeds from the run benefit the Wholehearted Orphanage, located in Fonds-Parisien, Haiti. Wholehearted is a Christian organization that provides homes and education for orphaned children.

“Wholehearted is expanding from one home to eight homes to be able to house 96 children,” said senior Victoria Rivera, one of the race’s organizers who has done mission work for Wholehearted Orphanage. “This is a project that we care a lot about and we feel the call to do what we can.”
