Bestselling local author Steven James to speak at Milligan

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (March 20, 2017) — National bestselling and award-winning local author Steven James will speak at Milligan College for Spiritual Renewal Week on March 21 and 23 at 11 a.m. in Milligan’s Mary B. Martin Auditorium located in Seeger Chapel. These events are free and open to the public.

On Tuesday, James will speak on “The Untouched Moment—Unexpected God Encounters in Everyday Life”; on Thursday, “Throw Your Hat over the Wall—The Freeing Commitment of Faith.”

He writes suspense and thriller novels, including his latest novel, “Every Crooked Path.” All of his novels contain many underlying psychological insights that speak to true human nature. James has been involved at Milligan for the past 15 years, speaking at chapel and in classes.

“I’ve always felt like it was important to encourage the next generation of artists and storytellers,” said James, of Johnson City, Tennessee.

He has a master’s degree in storytelling and has taught writing and storytelling while speaking at events around the world for over two decades.

Spiritual Renewal Week exists to provide the campus community an opportunity to refocus on its shared faith and life in Christ. To learn more about spiritual life events at Milligan, contact Campus Minister Brad Wallace at 423.461.8748.
