Milligan nursing preview day set for March 3

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (February 22, 2017) — Prospective students interested in studying nursing can attend a free preview day for Milligan’s nursing major on Friday, March 3, open to high school students and college transfers.

Students will learn about Milligan’s nursing major from Dr. Melinda Collins, chair of the Area of Nursing and associate dean of the School of Sciences and Allied Health. Collins, who has been a registered nurse for over 25 years and previously practiced in Nashville, Tennessee, and the Tri-Cities area, has taught at Milligan for more than 20 years. Collins will answer questions and give students insight into the curriculum and profession.

In addition, potential nursing majors will have an opportunity to learn about financial assistance and scholarships available at Milligan, as well as talk to current students.

The college’s nursing graduates are well respected and in high demand throughout the region. In addition, Milligan recently expanded its nursing facilities with new lab space and equipment. Learn more at www.milligan.edu/nursing.
