MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (Sept. 14, 2012) — Christian comedian Chonda Pierce will bring her unpretentious Southern charm, musical talent and laser-sharp wit to Milligan College for a performance in the Mary B. Martin Auditorium of Seeger Memorial Chapel on Thursday, Oct. 4, at 7 p.m.
The “Live.Love.Laugh.” tour also will feature songwriter/recording artist Warren Barfield as special guest and host. Tickets are $17 for groups of 10 or more; $20 for general admission; and $25 for VIP seating (first several rows of center section). Tickets are available at www.museconcerts.com, www.chonda.org or in the Milligan College Bookstore. Call 423.461.8733.
The release of Pierce’s “Did I Say That Out Loud” comedy DVD in 2010 ushered in a widening range of high-profile mainstream media stops for Pierce, including her guest appearance on ABC’s popular daytime talk show, “The View.” With the success of “Did I Say That Out Loud,” Pierce enjoyed a very busy touring schedule in 2011 with many sell-out crowds.
Pierce also is the author of a half dozen best-selling books and recently won the “Comedian of the Year” Visionary Award. Her DVDs are consistently strong sellers, both on tour and at retail. She has seven DVDs that have been certified gold, four platinum certifications for DVD sales over 100,000 units, five Emmy nominations and is featured in several movie roles.
This spring she released her latest comedy DVD, “I’m Kind of a Big Deal.” This DVD highlights her crazy southern antics, which have been labeled “blue collar on estrogen.” Often billed the “Queen of Clean,” Pierce will share her “down-home” approach to comedy during the “Live.Love.Laugh.” tour.
