Milligan to host annual film festival

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (April 19, 2012) — The 12th annual Milligan College Film Festival will be held Friday, April 27, at 5:30 p.m. in the McGlothlin-Street Theatre of Milligan’s Gregory Center for the Liberal Arts.

The festival is a free, public event that features four short films by Milligan student filmmakers. The films represent a variety of genres and styles and include the best material from Milligan’s communications film studies majors.

The featured student films include:

  • “Shadow” by senior Jonathan Thomas from Asheville, N.C.
  • “For You,” a collaborative production of the spring 2012 Independent Filmmaking course.
  • “Comedian: The Story of Sid Finch” by senior Lee Lindsey from Switz City, Ind.
  • “Finding Dad,” a production from the LA Film Studies Center featuring senior Brittany Lutzo from Abingdon, Va., as production designer, and senior Jonathan Thomas, as sound designer.

The filmmakers will briefly field questions about their work after each screening.
