Milligan orchestra presents fall concert

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (Oct. 19, 2010) — The Milligan College Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Kellie Brown, will present its fall concert on Friday, Nov. 5, at 7:30 p.m. in Milligan’s Seeger Memorial Chapel. It is free and open to the public.

The concert will feature great masterworks from the string orchestra literature as well as music from “Carnival of the Animals” by Camille Saint-Saëns.

Founded in 1999, the orchestra has had a very successful history with performances throughout the region, collaborations with other groups such as the Civic Chorale, and premieres by well-known composers, including Kenton Coe.
