Milligan students present ‘Little Red Riding Hood’


MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (April 13, 2010) — Milligan College students bring the children’s one-act opera, “Little Red Riding Hood,”  to the stage on Wednesday, April 21, at 7:30 p.m. in Milligan’s Gregory Center for the Liberal Arts. The event is free and open to the public.

Will McVey, a senior music major at Milligan, will direct the operetta by Seymour Barab. The production is his senior project. A native of Portales, N.M., McVey performs the roles of the wolf and woodsman. He also designed the set and costumes.

Lydia Parker, a senior music education major from Manteno, Ill., plays “Little Red.” Shauna Slemp, a junior music education major from Fall Branch, Tenn., portrays the mother and grandmother. Andrew Ford, a recent Milligan graduate, will accompany them on the piano.
