‘Windows’ exhibit opens at Milligan

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (March 31, 2010) – “Windows,” an art exhibit by Milligan College senior Travis Phillips, opens Sunday, April 11, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Milligan Art Gallery, located in the lower level of Derthick Hall. The exhibit, which closes April 17, is free and open to the public.

Phillips, a native of Winston Salem, N.C., is a fine arts and humanities major. The pieces in his show are based on the way individuals relate to one another, which Phillips compares to looking through a window.

Phillips incorporates a wide array of media into his showcase, including everything from paint, pastels and film photography to unconventional items like crayon, cardboard and yarn. His art takes the form of sculpture, paintings, drawings and photography.
