East Tennessee storyteller to perform at Milligan


MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (February 24, 2010) – The Milligan College Arts Council welcomes professional storyteller Rebecca Alexander for a night of heartwarming and humorous tales on Tuesday, March 2, at 7:30 p.m. in Milligan’s Gregory Center for the Liberal Arts. The event is free and open to the public.

Alexander has been delighting audiences of all ages with her stories since 1994. She was raised on a dairy farm in East Tennessee, providing her with numerous tales that captivate her audiences.

Alexander’s storytelling also includes stories of Appalachia including poetry, fables and legends.

Alexander is a member of the National Storytelling Foundation, East Tennessee State University Tale Tellers and the Network of Biblical Storytellers. She performs regularly with the Jonesborough Storytellers Guild. Alexander holds a bachelor’s degree from Milligan and a master of education degree in storytelling from ETSU.
