Women’s conference features guests Kathy Troccoli, Ellie Lofaro


MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (January 26, 2010) — Award-winning singer, songwriter, speaker and author Kathy Troccoli will join nationally-known speaker Ellie Lofaro to provide a day of renewal, study and worship at the annual Eleanore L. Campbell Ladies Conference on Saturday, Feb. 27, at Milligan College.

Hosted by Associated Ladies for Milligan(ALM), in partnership with 88.3 FM WCQRand the women’s ministry at First Christian Church in Johnson City, the conference for women, titled “Spaghetti for the Soul,” will be held in Milligan’s Seeger Memorial Chapel from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“Spaghetti for the Soul is a wonderful opportunity for women of all ages to set aside a day to be spiritually fed with inspirational teaching, music and fellowship with other women,” said Clarinda Jeanes, Milligan’s first lady and founding president of ALM. “We are so excited to have Kathy and Ellie come and share their testimonies and gifts with us.”

The women’s conference is one of several community events sponsored by ALM each year. The purpose of ALM is to raise scholarship money for Milligan, to be an outreach to the campus community and to enrich women’s ministry in the local community. A special offering will be taken at the conference to benefit student scholarships at Milligan.

The conference title is based on the book “Spaghetti for the Soul, A Celebration of the Abundant Life” (WaterBrook Press), co-written by Troccoli and Lofaro.

Selected in 2003 by the readers of “Today’s Christian Woman Magazine” as one of the “Most Influential Christian Women in America,” Troccoli has spent 25 years in music and ministry. She has received numerous musical accolades, selling 2 million records throughout her career. She has enjoyed 17 No. 1 radio hits, earned two Dove awards and 19 nominations, and three Grammy nominations.

Troccoli is also the author of several books, including “Am I Not Still God?”, “Live Like You Mean It,” and the bestselling “Falling in Love With Jesus” series, co-authored with Dee Brestin. A highly sought after conference singer and speaker, she has ministered to thousands of women at various national conferences.

Like Troccoli, Lofaro has committed her life to using her time and talent to inspire others with God’s word. A serious student of Scripture, Lofaro has developed a unique teaching style that touches the heart, stimulates the mind and nourishes the soul, thus inspiring her to found Heart, Mind, & Soul Ministries.

Lofaro’s ministry involves nationwide speaking engagements, authoring books, teaching a weekly interdenominational Bible study, and appearing on Christian radio and television.
