Missionary to Hong Kong to speak at Milligan

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (November 19, 2009) – David Poling, the president of Chinese Christian Seminary in Kowloon, Hong Kong, will speak at Milligan College on Tuesday, Dec. 1, at 11 a.m. in Milligan’s Seeger Memorial Chapel. The event is free and open to the public.

Poling and his wife, Lynn, have served in Hong Kong since 1979. Poling’s primary work has been with the Chinese Christian Seminary, an evening Bible college in Hong Kong. The institution equips students to spread the good news of Christ by providing them with a strong academic program.

The seminary’s evening schedule enables it to train deacons, elders and youth leaders, as well as those hoping to enter full-time ministry. Due to its strong academic program, a number of preachers and para-church workers also come for training.

Poling graduated from Atlanta Christian College and Lincoln Christian Seminary (Lincoln, Ill.). He studied Chinese at Hong Kong Chinese University. He has previously served in a variety of ministry vocations, including pastor, church planter and professor. He is currently the advisor pastor to Christian Lord Leading Church in Hong Kong.
