President of church-plant organization to speak at Milligan

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (November 12, 2009) – Brent Storms, the president of the church-plant organization Orchard Group, will speak at Milligan College on Tuesday, Nov. 17, and Thursday, Nov. 19. Both services, which are free and open to the public, will be held in Milligan’s Seeger Memorial Chapel at 11 a.m.

Orchard Group, formerly “Go Ye” Chapel Mission, has planted churches throughout the Northeast United States for more than 50 years. The organization identifies key locations for church development, hires church staff and provides necessary start-up funds to develop the church. Their hope is that these new churches will aid in their own church plants some day.

Storms is a graduate of Ozark Christian College (Joplin, Mo.) and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (South Hamilton, Mass.). Prior to working with Orchard Group, he served as the founding minister of Harbor of Hope Christian Church near Boston, Mass. He joined Orchard Group as managing director in 2004 and was recently appointed president of the organization by its board of trustees.
