Comedian Rodney Johnson to speak at Milligan

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (February 13, 2009) – Comedian Rodney Johnson will speak at Milligan College’s Seeger Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, Feb. 17, at 11 a.m. as part of the college’s Multicultural Awareness Week.

Gifted in the art of producing laughter, Johnson helped found The Hilarious Religious Comedy Tour. The tour, which draws from the talents of a dozen comedians and a number of singers and musicians, performs primarily at universities, churches, organizations and corporations to bring clean, spiritually-centered comedy to audiences.

Johnson has worked hard to polish his craft. His style of comedy is often spontaneous and deals with situations that occur on a daily basis. Using a common sense approach to various circumstances, Johnson sheds light on the hilarity of human folly, allowing audiences to be able to laugh at others as well as themselves. His goal is to unite diverse people of vast cultures and backgrounds by revealing that their common bond is laughter.

The event is free and open to the public.
