Milligan College student government going strong


MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (March 30, 2006) — The Milligan College student body has elected officers for the Milligan Student Government Association (SGA) for the 2006-2007 school year.

The Milligan SGA serves as the official representative voice of Milligan students and promotes academic, social and spiritual activities for the campus community. SGA leadership is provided by an executive council and representatives from each class, residence hall, and commuters and married students.

The student body elected Maggie Blankenship of McAllen, Texas, as SGA president and Christian Thompson of Ocala, Fla., as vice president. Kristen Oxley of Canton, Ohio, was elected as secretary and Abby Dalton of Indianapolis, Ind., will serve as treasurer.

Elected as senior class president is Crystele Woodlee of Fayetteville, Ark. Senior class representatives are Jessica Carver of Bluff City, Tenn., April Martin of Columbus, Ind., and Josh Ramos of Evans, Colo.

Elected as junior class president was Jackie Libby of Londonderry, N.H. Junior class representatives include Kacey Bennett from Gladstone, Ore., Katie DeConto from North Port, Fla., Kofi Frimpong from Kumasi, Ghana, and Casey Williams from Blountville, Tenn.

Rachel Mahan of Jonesborough, Tenn., was elected as sophomore class president. Serving as sophomore class representatives are Autumn Hardy of Omaha, Neb., Andrea Taylor of Broomfield, Colo., Michael Bartlett of Sterling, Va., and Curtis Teel of Linthicum, Md.

The new SGA representatives will take office in May, at the conclusion of the current school year.
