Cunningham to present senior recital


MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (April 4, 2005) — Rachel Cunningham, from Waterford, Ohio, will present her senior piano recital, Saturday, April 16, at 7:30 p.m. in Seeger Chapel located on the Milligan College campus.

The program will feature Beethoven’s piano Sonata (Tempest) Op. 31, No.2, Chopin’s Etude Op. 10, No.4 and Fantasie – Impromptu, posthumous, Op. 66. The recital also will include pieces by American composers Howard Hanson, Louis Gottschalk, Aaron Copland and George Gershwin.

Cunningham is pursuing a double major in English and music with an emphasis in piano. She sings in the Milligan College concert choir and serves as music minister at Airport Christian Church in Blountville, Tenn. She previously served as president of the college’s Student Government Association.
