Milligan announces new license plate

MILLIGAN COLLEGE , TN (December 8, 2004) —A new Milligan College license plate soon will be available to all Tennessee residents.

The college needs 100 pre-orders by Feb. 1 for the state to begin processing and printing the plates, explained Theresa Garbe, director of alumni relations.

The new license plate design features Seeger Memorial Chapel, which was built in 1967 and serves the campus in worship, instruction, lectures, concerts and drama. The main sanctuary-auditorium seats 1,300 and the 12-foot Celtic cross atop the spire is the highest point on campus.

“The Chapel has long been an area landmark. Several alumni and friends of the college have desired a plate that illustrates the beauty of the college,” said Garbe.

To order the Milligan College license plate, please contact the Alumni Relations Office at 423.461.8718.
