Business and graduate programs schedule Open House

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (October 16, 2003) — Milligan College’s business area and graduate programs have announced an information open house on Thursday, Oct. 30, for the college’s business administration major for working adults, M.B.A., M.S.O.T. and M.Ed. programs. The open house will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in Derthick Hall’s second floor lobby and is open to anyone interested in any of these programs.

The general information session will allow visitors to speak with faculty members and receive information on a variety of issues, such as academic coursework and financial aid.

The business administration major for working adults is a degree completion program that enables students to complete a business major in 18 months, attending class just one night a week. Cohort groups begin in August and January.

The M.B.A. is an 18-month program that meets one weekend per month, complemented by ongoing Internet-based instruction. The program is designed to accommodate professionals working at every level of management and focuses on business leadership from a Christian perspective.

The M.Ed. program offers an initial licensure track which allows students to complete a master’s degree and teacher licensure requirements in as little as 15 months or one course at a time over two to three years. The advanced track offers professional development for currently licensed teachers. Courses prepare students for National Board Certification by meeting NBPTS standards.

Milligan’s M.S.O.T. program, which is one of only two in Tennessee, offers a master of science degree in occupational therapy. Occupational therapists are in great demand and help people with injuries or illnesses regain basic living skills and return to life activities. The two-and-a-half year program is designed for people with undergraduate degrees in a variety of fields.
