Runner & Eastridge to present annual joint faculty recital

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (Feb. 26, 2003) — Dr. David Runner and Carlene Eastridge will present an annual joint faculty recital March 4, 2003, in Seeger Chapel on the Milligan College campus at 7:30 p.m.

The recital will consist of works by Bach, Near, Gardonyi, Franck and Wagner.

Dr. Runner, professor of music, holds a B.A. in music from Boise State University, and a master of music degree and his doctor of musical arts degree from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York.

Runner has also been published in The American Organist and The Diapason magazines. He holds memberships in the Johnson City Civic Chorale, the American Guild of Organists and the National Association of Schools of Music. His teaching topics include organ, choral directing, church music, hand bells, hymnology, music theory, music history and piano.

Carlene Eastridge, assistant professor of music, holds a B.M. from Belmont College and an M.M. from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. Her teaching topics include choral directing, piano, organ, women in music ministry, church music, hymnology, worship and youth anti-drug programs.

The recital is free and open to the public.
