Selected Students Perform at Honors Recital

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (Feb. 10, 2003) – Six Milligan Students have been selected to perform in the annual Milligan College Honors Recital on Friday, February 14, at 7:30 p.m., in Seeger Chapel on the campus of Milligan College. Performers at the Honors Recital are selected by audition at the end of the previous semester.

The two vocalists for the evening are Lauren Webb of Bristol, Tenn., and Rachel Cunningham of Waterford, Ohio. Webb is a student of John Wakefield, associate professor of music. Cunningham is a piano student of Carlene Eastridge, assistant professor of music, and a voice student of Bryan Bolzenthal, adjunct professor of music.

The Honors Recital program will also include four instrumental performances. They include Dawn Loughry of Crescent City, Calif., on piano; Erik Boggs of Norton, Va., on trumpet and accompanied by Rachel Cunningham; Christy Lewis of Piney Flats, Tenn., on piano; and Michael Douty of Mill Hall, Pa., on saxophone and accompanied by Rachel Cunningham.

These instrumental performers are all students of Milligan music faculty Anne Elliot, Rick Simerly, Carlene Eastridge and Tom Crawford.
