MILLIGAN, Tenn. (April 9, 2024) – Milligan University will host the 23rd annual Stone-Campbell Journal Conference, which provides a scholarly platform for the Stone-Campbell Movement.

The conference will take place on Friday, April 12, 8 a.m.-6 p.m., and Saturday, April 13, 8 a.m.-1 p.m., on the university’s main campus.

“Milligan and Emmanuel have always had a strong presence at the Stone-Campbell Journal Conference, so we are excited to host this year,” said Milligan President Dr. Bill Greer. “It will be a wonderful showcase of the substantial academic work within the Stone-Campbell tradition.”

This year’s conference will include 175 scholars representing more than 25 colleges, universities and seminaries, including Emmanuel Christian Seminary at Milligan, Abilene Christian University, Phillips Theological Seminary, Emory University, Wake Forest University and Fuller Theological Seminary.

The conference’s featured speakers include Dr. Miriam Perkins, professor of theology and society at Emmanuel; Dr. Love Sechrest, professor of theology at Mount St. Mary’s University; and Dr. Daniel Rodriguez, professor of religion and Hispanic studies from Pepperdine University.
