Ryan Lis
Assistant Professor of Exercise Science
Ryan Lis is an Assistant Professor of Sport & Exercise Science and Co-Director of Athletic Performance at Milligan University. His main areas of expertise are sports performance, strength and conditioning, and recovery. Currently, he is completing his dissertation, which involves a 7-week training study using a unique training method aimed at improving several areas of athletic performance.
Ryan’s research interests include sport science, strength and conditioning, and baseball performance. He believes that God guided him to East Tennessee State University (ETSU) and assigned him to work with Milligan athletes, which has helped him develop a stronger connection with student-athletes and deepen his calling in the field of sport science.
Ryan’s favorite part of serving at Milligan is connecting with student-athletes in class and seeing how the concepts they are learning apply directly to their sports, practices, and resistance training.
