Jack Holland

Dr. Jack Holland is the Russell F. and Marian J. Blowers Professor of Christian Ministries, the Doctor of Ministry Program Director, and Professor of Christian Care and Counseling. His research focuses on narrative approaches to pastoral counseling, systems theory, and ministerial ethics.

Dr. Holland has served at Emmanuel Christian Seminary for over 20 years. He cherishes the ability to teach the subjects that are important to him and to foster meaningful connections with colleagues and students.

Dr. Holland has published articles, such as “Constructing Helpful Conversations” in Family and Community Ministries and “Narratives of Leadership Anxiety: Constructing a Story-Formed Conversation for Managing Pastoral Dynamics” in The Journal of Christian Ministry.

He was raised within the Church of Christ and is grateful for a personal faith that he has fostered from his childhood in part because of his parents’ strong Christian faith.
