"The Caring Place"

Hillcrest is a Baptist church in fellowship with the Nolachucky Baptist Association, Tennessee Baptist Convention, and the Southern Baptist Convention. We hold to the Baptist Faith and Message (2000) as our doctrinal statement. We have grown in the last several years and average around 160 people. We are known as the “caring place.” The church is always looking for ways to reach out to the community. We have had back-to-school block parties for families to attend and also offered outdoor movie nights during the summer.

We have prayerfully been searching for a youth pastor. We want someone who will love the youth and disciple them. It is so important that these kids feel and see the love of Christ.

Qualifications:
-Born again believer professing the Virgin Birth, Death, Burial and Resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
-Education related to teaching, youth ministries or pastoral care is a bonus.
-Must be willing to undergo a background check
-Excellent organizational and project coordination abilities
-Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
-Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
-Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

Expected hours per week: 3-5

Responsibilities
-Provide spiritual support to the church staff and congregation
-Coordinate and chaperone an annual trip to a Youth Camp and other similar activities focused on Christian Youth
-Attend staff meetings, annual staff consultation with personnel committee, all church-wide services and Church Council Meetings. Attend all church-wide services
