Elevate Christian Church’s desire is to connect people to God and each other. We strive to do that in every service or gathering, no matter the size. We are passionate about leading people to Jesus, so they too can experience his great love. Our worship services are high energy and we strive to do everything with excellence.
Overview: At Elevate we believe that the worship minister plays a vital role in leading and overseeing worship experiences that align with the church’s mission to connect people to God and each other.
Job description: To lead the congregation in worship through music, prayer, and creative elements, fostering an environment where people can connect with God and grow in their faith.
Key Responsibilities:
- Worship Service: Plan, coordinate, and lead engaging worship services. This includes selecting songs, scripture readings, and creative elements that align with the sermon theme and church vision.
- Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor worship team members including the vocalists and instrumentalists. Schedule and oversee worship rehearsals. – Provide spiritual encouragement and leadership to the team.
- Service Planning & Collaboration: Work closely with the Lead Minister and the Production Director to design worship experiences.
- Administrative Duties: Manage the worship ministry budget. Maintain worship equipment and instruments. – Develop song libraries and create playlists for the congregation.
- Spiritual Leadership: Model Christlike character and worship both on and off stage. Encourage a culture of worship and spiritual growth within the church.
Qualifications:
- A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to living according to biblical principles.
- Alignment with the church’s mission of connecting people to God and to each other.
- Proficient in singing and/or playing one or more instruments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Our staff feels its important to do life together. Outside of staff meetings, we have lunches or dinners together often. We encourage, pray with and uplift each other both in our ministries and personal lives. We strongly believe that a healthy staff cultures creates a healthy church family.
