Section 504: Legal and Collaborative Considerations for Mental Health and School Professionals

Participants will gain a basic understanding of the difference in ADA and OCR as it applies to the implementation of accommodations and the 504 process. They will gain awareness of best practice strategies in collaboration between stakeholders advocating for children with diagnoses or symptoms that may support a 504 plan. Participants will gain insight into the complexity of testing accommodations that may impact clinical recommendations for students served by 504 plans.
