Write an essay answering the question below. The essay will be evaluated on the basis of theme development, clarity of expression, depth and breadth of thought, creativity, and personal involvement. Respond to each of the questions below. Galatians 5:22-23 tells us that the Holy Spirit is revealed through these nine attributes: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These point to the indwelling work of the Spirit not only in producing momentary experiences, but also deep, settled qualities of character exhibited in the lives of Christ followers. As one preparing for a life of effective Christian ministry, please respond to each of the following (4-5 total pages):

1. How have you witnessed the Fruits of the Spirit displayed in the life of your spiritual mentor or another believer?
2. How have you seen the Holy Spirit bear fruit in your life? Describe an experience or time when you were able to see the Spirit working to change your character.

To be eligible for this scholarship, I intend to be a degree-seeking student, continuously-enrolled full-time for the duration of the degree program I am applying, and understand I must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 throughout my time at Emmanuel Christian Seminary.
