The Area of Physician Assistant Studies at Milligan University invites applications for the full-time, non-exempt, hourly position of Program Manager with an anticipated start date in August or September 2025. Reporting to the Director and Chair of the Physician Assistant Studies program, this position performs a broad range of duties and services with the purpose of providing comprehensive support to the Area of Physician Assistant Studies.
Primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to providing administrative and secretarial support to the Area of Physician Assistant Studies Chair and program faculty; creating and organizing materials and reports for the Area of Physician Assistant Studies, campus, and accreditation agencies; scheduling meetings and coordinating resources for Area of Physician Assistant Studies functions. Typing and secretarial support to ensure successful implementation of classroom activities to include formatting syllabi, course materials, and examinations; coordinating delivery of course evaluations and reports; creating and maintaining confidential student files for advising, progression, accreditation and clinical placement purposes; provides support of student applications through proficient use of CASPA; and photocopying of materials as requested. The manager monitors, tracks, and orders supplies, processes invoices for payment, and reconciles related budget items.
Qualifications: Successful candidates must have a high school diploma with at least 1-3 years of administrative experience. Previous experience in an academic support position in a university environment is strongly preferred. The candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff and community partners. The candidate must also be computer proficient with Microsoft Office suite products, the use of the Internet, email, and email attachments. Proficiency or ability to learn database management software used by the Area of Physician Assistant Studies such as CASPA, Canvas, and Exxat, the ability to work in an environment that requires multi-tasking and attention to detail, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills are required. The candidate must also be able to move between campus buildings while carrying papers and light boxes without difficulty. Successful candidates should also demonstrate a strong Christian faith and commitment to Milligan’s mission as a Christian liberal arts university.
