MILLIGAN, Tenn. (March 13, 2025) – Milligan University senior Lily Marr, of Frederick, Maryland, will present an art exhibit from March 23-28 in the Milligan Art Gallery located in Derthick Hall. An opening reception will be held Sunday, March 23, from 2-4 p.m. The reception is free and open to the public.
Marr’s exhibit, “Verglas Windows,” is a play on how eyes are windows to the soul. Verglas is the fragile and thin sheet of ice which covers twigs and grass after freezing rain and disappears within a day. Marr wanted her exhibit’s title to allude how the phrase “windows to the soul” can be fragile.
Marr is an art major and is a member of Milligan’s disc golf team. Her works have been on display in Milligan’s “Two Cats + a Herd of Buffalo” exhibits over the past three years.
“My style has developed and been refined while I’ve been at Milligan,” says Marr. “Milligan has helped me find my signature style which can be recognized easily.”
