MILLIGAN, Tenn. (Feb. 28, 2025) — Two Milligan University seniors will perform recitals on Saturday, March 1, in the Mary B. Martin Auditorium of Seeger Memorial Chapel. Senior Hannah Decker, of Limestone, Tennessee, will present a voice recital at 5 p.m. and senior Max Brown, of Greeneville, Tennessee, will present a piano recital at 7 p.m. Both recitals are free and open to the public.

Decker is a music education major with a minor in the humanities. She serves as president of Milligan’s Concert Choir; is a student leader of Heritage, Milligan’s a capella ensemble; and is a member of Alpha Chi Honor Society. Her recital will feature works by J.S. Bach, W.A. Mozart, Felix Mendelssohn, Maurice Ravel, Amy Beach, Cole Porter and Richard Rodgers. Upon graduation, Decker will pursue a Master of Education at Milligan.

Brown will graduate with undergraduate degrees in music performance and general chemistry. At Milligan, he performs in Milligan’s Concert Choir, Heritage, and on the piano with the Milligan Orchestra. His recital will feature music by J.S. Bach, W.A. Mozart and F. Chopin as well as living composer Victoria Bond. Brown intends to study chemistry at the graduate level after he pursues a year-long internship, and he plans to teach piano privately.
