Milligan partners with SpectrumU to provide video streaming in residence halls

Milligan students watching Spectrum UMILLIGAN, Tenn. (Feb. 15, 2021) — Milligan University is proud to announce a partnership with SpectrumU to provide video streaming for on-campus residents beginning this spring.

SpectrumU is a video streaming service that features 150 live channels and over 7,000 hours of on-demand content. The channel lineup includes ESPN, FOX, CNN, BBC America, Disney Channel, HGTV and many more.

“Today’s digitally native students are accustomed to streaming content that allows them to stay both informed and entertained,” said Amanda Bristol, director of information technology.  “We are pleased to partner with SpectrumU to provide this valuable streaming TV option for our campus community.”

Unlike traditional cable services, SpectrumU allows students to stream both on-demand content and live channels to laptops and mobile devices. The service is available on iOS, Android, Laptop/Desktop, Roku and Apple TV.

When connected to the campus’ wired or wireless network, residential students can use their Milligan network ID to access SpectrumU’s extensive selection of content. All students assigned to campus housing have access to this service, including students living in the Milligan Student Apartments and Emmanuel Village.
