New faculty and staff, 2020-2021


MILLIGAN, Tenn. (Sept. 10, 2020) – Milligan University welcomes several new faculty and staff members to campus for the start of the fall 2020 semester.

New faculty include:

Dr. David Brickle joins Milligan as assistant professor of music and teaches piano and music theory. Brickle previously served as adjunct instructor of piano at Wallace Community College in Dothan, Alabama. He received his master’s and doctorate degrees in piano performance from Florida State University and his bachelor’s degree in piano performance from the University of South Carolina.

Dr. Mei Han serves as assistant professor of business administration. Han served as a marketing instructor at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. She received her doctorate in marketing from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, a master’s degree in business administration from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Wuhan Textile University.

Ashley Held joins Milligan as assistant professor of occupational therapy. She has served as an occupational therapist at Talkback Pediatric Therapy in Johnson City, Tennessee, and with Presence Learning’s telehealth system, headquartered in San Francisco, California. Held received her master’s degree in occupational therapy from Shenandoah University and her bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology from West Virginia University.

Dr. Aaron Hymes serves as assistant professor of counseling and leads the addictions counseling concentration in Milligan’s counseling program. Hymes is a licensed professional counselor and mental health service provider, a board approved clinical supervisor, and certified master addictions counselor with over a decade of professional experience. He received his doctorate in counselor education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, his master’s degree in counseling and human development from Lindsey Wilson College, and his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Concord University.

Karahann Kiser joins as assistant professor of interactive media and design. Kiser previously served as a professor of graphic design at Asheville Buncombe Technical College. She received her master’s and bachelor’s degrees in digital media from East Tennessee State University.

New staff include:

Leslie Bean joins Milligan as human resources director.

Jason Branch serves as groundskeeper.

Shawn Campbell joins Milligan as a help desk support analyst.

Rebekah Ensley serves as the secretary for the physician assistant program.

Carrie Floyd joins Milligan as the housekeeping service manager.

Catherine Hammer serves as a user services librarian.

Caleb Johnston serves as an athletic trainer.

Kylie Russell was named the women’s basketball coach.

Erica Stone joins Milligan as a student financial services counselor.

Brealle White serves as the resident director for Hart Hall.
