Our Defining Moment

Few Christian liberal arts colleges have a longer or richer heritage than Milligan College. Established in 1866, our mission then and now is to educate Christian leaders - the hope of the world. From the very beginning, that meant teaching young minds to think for themselves, to discover Christian truths within their own lives, and to flourish as shining examples for others in whatever profession they chose to pursue.

Milligan's 10,000-plus alumni have gone on to govern, preach, teach, create, decide, invent, write and solve. Throughout our world, Milligan graduates are changing lives and shaping culture.

As we begin the new millennium, our dreams have not changed, but the demands and realities of societyhave. Our students and alumni face a world of constant cultural transition and technological transformation. They face a world of people who are hungering for spiritual truth.

Our vision for Christian leadership is therefore bolder than ever. Milligan College must stay at the forefront of educational excellence to provide Christian leadership for our world. To achieve this, the faculty, administration, and board of trustees are committed to a comprehensive vision and funding plan - the most ambitious in our history.

Now is the time to build on Milligan's strengths: exceptional faculty, nationally recognized academic programs, and a Christ-centered approach. Now is the time to dramatically add to the endowment, improve facilities, support staff and students, and launch new programs. Now is the time to ensure that the light of Christian education will not dim, but grow ever stronger. This is our defining moment.

Please join with us to equip Christian leaders to change lives and shape culture.
