  • Student Financial Services Counselor

  • Milligan College seeks a full time Student Financial Services (SFS) Counselor. The Student Financial Services Counselor will determine the financial need of financial aid applicants and will make financial aid awards designated by federal and state program regulations and institutional policies.

    Primary duties will include performing verification, awarding students, counseling with students and parents on the availability of financial aid, required procedures in obtaining financial aid, and preparing Federal Direct Loans for origination. In addition, the Counselor will discuss student account balances and educational funding options with students and parents.

  • Milligan College seeks a dynamic person to fill the position of Admissions Counselor. Reporting to the Director of Admissions, the Counselor is responsible for achieving the assigned enrollment goals by managing the marketing and recruitment process for assigned programs and recruitment territories.

    Position requires a mix of off-campus recruitment efforts and on-campus office work. Bachelor's degree and some experience required.

  • Milligan College invites applications for a full time, tenure track position in Education to begin Fall 2014. A desire and ability to integrate faith and learning in a liberal arts environment is essential.

    The successful candidate must demonstrate excellence in teaching, and have experience at the K-12 level. Teaching will include both undergraduate and graduate (M.Ed.) courses. Teaching expectations include supervising teaching candidates in area schools and some online teaching. The candidate should have a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) or be ABD near completion. Preference will be given to candidates with secondary experience in the fields of math or science or to candidates with reading or special education endorsements.

  • Assistant Professor of Counseling

  • Milligan College seeks a tenure-track professor with expertise in Counseling, to begin fall 2014. The successful candidate will teach primarily in a Master’s level program in Counseling that has tracks that fulfill the educational requirements for licensed professional counselors and school counselors. The candidate must demonstrate excellence in classroom teaching, as well as in advising and supervising graduate students.

    The candidate should demonstrate the ability to integrate Christian faith within an academically grounded counseling program. An active counseling license is required; the successful candidate will have or secure a Tennessee counseling license. Interest and experience in school counseling would be helpful. A terminal degree in Counselor Education and Supervision is preferred, although the materials of well-qualified ABDs will be considered.
