Rebecca McClain

Adjunct Instructor of Music, Organ

Rebecca McClain serves as Adjunct Instructor for Organ in the Music Department at Milligan University. Her primary responsibilities include playing organ for events in Seeger Memorial Chapel and teaching applied organ lessons. She also serves as the collaborative pianist for the Concert Choir.

Professor McClain holds degrees in both business and music. She completed a Bachelor of Music in Piano and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting at Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia. She earned a Master of Business Administration at Georgia Southern University and a Master of Arts in Music with concentrations in Piano and Organ at Wesleyan College. Additionally, she completed a Certificate in Injury-Preventive Keyboard Technique at Salem College and was awarded a Service Playing Certificate from the American Guild of Organists.

Before transitioning to teaching and music ministry, Professor McClain had a successful career in business, achieving Certified Public Accountant status in Texas (now retired) and retiring as the Chief Financial Officer for the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System in Savannah, Georgia. After retirement, she started a private piano studio and continued her work as a church organist, a role she began at age 15. Her journey from coastal Georgia to Tennessee has been shaped by divine timing and the influence of key people along the way.

She is excited to use her talents in service to the Milligan community.
