Instructor of Bible & Humanities

Faculty Office Center, 121

Liesl Huhn is an Instructor of Bible and Humanities at Milligan University. Her research interests include the New Testament and its cultural context, linguistics, and classical humanities. Huhn is also a certified spiritual director and volunteer chaplain.

Huhn has published “Healed to Know, Believe, and Serve” in Leaven, and she has presented biannually at the “How I Changed My Mind” conference at Milligan over the last decade. In 2016, she received the Estal Taylor Preaching Award.

At Milligan, Huhn finds great fulfillment in helping students make connections across various aspects of their course material and discover personal applications for what they learn. She believes each student enriches Milligan by sharing their perspective and talents in and outside the classroom.

Huhn is deeply moved by the compassion Jesus shows in the Gospels and by Christ’s mission of the reconciliation of all things. She wishes to honor Christ by engaging deeply with people in the world and by bringing a calm, thoughtful, and compassionate presence into the world.
