Ana Morton enters her first season (2021-22) as a women’s basketball assistant coach at Milligan.
Morton comes to Milligan after spending the last eight years as a physical education teacher and basketball, volleyball and track coach at the prep and AAU levels.
She led Tyner Middle Academy to a district title in 2013 and spent the next five seasons as the head coach of Orchard Knob Middle. Morton took over a struggling Orchard Knob program and led it to a regular season runner-up showing in her first season.
In the AAU and circuit, Morton has coached for Reign FBC, TN Xtreme, TN Grizzliez and TN Swarm.
Several of Morton’s former players went on to compete collegiately at the NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA and junior college levels.
A standout basketball player at Page High School, Morton graduated from the University Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education K-12 and a Master’s of Education Leadership from Carson-Newman in 2018.
