Hanneken holds a bachelor of science degree (1995) and a master’s of education degree in physical education (1998) from East Tennessee State University. She also has an Ed.S in educational administration from Lincoln Memorial University (2003). In addition to teaching at Milligan College, Hanneken also serves as an educational consultant. Her professional experience includes corporate wellness, non-profit program development, cardiac rehabilitation, school administration and public school teaching at the elementary and secondary levels. She has presented multiple workshops on academic integration, fitness integration and accountability for professional organizations. She was also inducted into East Tennessee State University’s Clemmer College of Alumni Hall of Fame.
Hanneken is a member of Central Christian Church in Jonesborough, Tennessee. She volunteers with Interfaith Hospitality Network, Jonesborough Little League and the Challenger League, a baseball organization for children with special needs. She and her husband, Chip, have two children, Jobe and Eli.
