Our church is first and foremost planted firmly on God’s Word. We are a loving and welcoming group and although small, we are an active Congregation in the service of our Lord, Jesus Christ. The Montville Church of Christ has a wonderful blend of tradition and innovation that will help the word of God reach as many people as we can!

The Montville Church of Christ is an American Restorationist Bible-centered and growing congregation located in rural Montville, Ohio. We are seeking a preacher to care for the spiritual needs of our congregation.

An Overview of the Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess the qualities laid out in 1 Timothy 3: 1 – 7 and Titus 1: 6 – 9. This man must possess the ability to disciple, teach and shepherd members of the church community. He will be a man who is guided by God’s Word as set forth in the Bible in all matters and able to effectively co; a humble servant; able to both lead and take direction; compassionate, gracious, and personable in interpersonal dealings; and trustworthy and able to counsel people when called to do so and listen with reflexive listening skills and a kind spirit.

As a Congregation, we are able to offer the following to aid in his work:
An in-church baptistry
A blended-worship style (multi-instrument worship team using both traditional and modern worship songs)
4-Camera Livestream to multiple platforms simultaneously;
A modern website and established social media presence and following

The Candidate
We are seeking a man with spiritual maturity reflecting the character of Christ in both his private and public life. A man with a passion for the edification and growth of God’s Church through the expository preaching of His Word. A man with the God given abilities to communicate meaning and insight from Scripture in a way that connects with the congregation and effectively leads to learning, understanding, and application.

The Qualifications
Born-again, baptized believer who loves the Lord.
Fulfill the scriptural qualifications of a leader found in I Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
Possess a proficiency in biblical theology and the ability to convey biblical truth to all age groups.
Nationally certified in Biblical counseling (ACBC) is a plus, but not required.
Willingness to engage the local community and support of church’s ministries and missionaries.
Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to reflectively listen.
Maintain a healthy balance of personal growth in the Lord, family life, and ministry life.
Ministry experience preferred but not required.
Baccalaureate degree from an Accredited Institution and Master of Divinity or equivalent required.

Job Type: Full-time or Part-time depending on candidate

Pay: Pay will include a salary and a parsonage allowance. Our parsonage has 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms that has been renovated in the last few years. Pay will be allocated between salary and a housing allowance.

Schedule:
• Must be available Sunday Mornings for the morning worship service
• Must be available as to serve in community outreach.
