Community Workshops


Milligan has partnered with Snap-On to offer a series of free workshops to employees and community members. These workshops are non-credit and designed to provide helpful and supportive information and resources on a variety of topics.

2018-2019

MARCH 5 – Parenting & Social Media / Media Effects in Adolescents

6:30-8:00 pm – Wilson Auditorium, Hardin Hall

Better understand the psychological, social, and educational effects of media on children and adolescents, such as the impact on body image, drug and alcohol abuse, sexuality, sociability, morality, and cognitive development. MAY – Family & Marriage Relations

Learn how to build and maintain joy in your relationships, how to respond to challenges, and how to improve communication.  Instructor: Dr. Rebecca Sapp, Director of the Counseling Center and Associate Professor of Counseling

SUMMER – Estate & Will Planning

Learn about some of the basic principles behind estate planning and how these can be used to provide freedom and security to you and your loved ones  Better understand the six documents every estate plan should include. This session provides no legal advice but will give you a basic working knowledge to prepare you for further discussions with an attorney or financial advisor.
