Ministry Leadership Summer Camp

Monday – Friday, June 20-24, 9 am – 4 pm

Explore leadership in church and ministry settings. The camp will bring together the biblical foundation for ministry along with culturally relevant practical ministry application. Based upon Milligan’s innovative Ministry Leadership Program, our week together will build a student’s knowledge, skill, experiences, community, and character. Students will find the Ministry Leadership Camp to be challenging, fun, and supportive as they consider ministry in the 21st century church.

  • Knowledge: The Ministry Leadership Camp provides students with biblical knowledge about God, Scripture, ministry, and life. Students learn the importance about thinking carefully and reflectively about these important topics.
  • Skill: Students begin thinking about various ministry skills, such as leading small group discussions or worship, preaching sermons, teaching lessons, etc. They also can put these skills into practice if they so desire.
  • Community: During the Ministry Leadership Camp, students participate in a small group. Not only is this a good way to build knowledge, but it is also a great environment for building community. Students get to know and learn from other students exploring the possibility of ministry.
  • Experiences: Students participate in active learning experiences to help reinforce principles that we are learning. We also learn from current ministers in the area as they share about their ministry experiences.
  • Character: During our time together, we discuss the importance of character in the life of a minister. It is essential that the heart and character of a minister grow more and more into the likeness of Christ. This is modeled in our small group experience.
