School of Arts & Humanities

The Chinese program aims to provide students with functional skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing modern standard Mandarin Chinese. The program offers both elementary and intermediate mandarin Chinese. Centered on daily topics, the class will learn and practice Chinese through guided discussions, exercises in pairs or groups, and linguistic and cultural awareness of the language. The two-year Chinese language program would benefit students who would like to use the language for undergraduate research, study abroad, graduate studies, business opportunities, employment, or missionary work.
